commit to the Lord...

It felt busy as the prayer café rolled on through its 14th week. after raising a fair few questions about the café and how it was going, around 10 of us sat scattered throughout the room. some on the sofas, some praying. some praying with crafts, others for their school, some scribbled their personal cries to God in a small notebook, whilst others grabbed marker pens and scribed names of friends, family members, work colleagues and neighbours on a big whiteboard; those they knew who needed God working in their lives more than usual.

we all enjoyed the cakes, the coffee. we enjoyed the company.

for me, this was what it was meant to be.

The whole thing could be scrapped, but days like this are so encouraging. If even a small group of people could make use of this, it could be awesome. There's such potential in such a simple space. We just have to tread carefully to follow God's direction, and not our feelings.

Today's verse with the prayer community was a helpful one for all things, but especially this... "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed"...
