back from London...and I begin with, a campaign

Spent an amazing few days away in London last week. Back now, up for another restart, but I have that classic feeling that the time off wasn't long enough. My brain is very much still half way through holiday mode and I'm suddenly back at it...ha ha.
Anyway London was brilliant.
Whilst away I was challenged over a few things. simple things. but for me, fairly big challenges. one of which has led to me starting a little personal campaign, and you're all welcome to join in, if you want to.
Basically, I've banned myself from sending emails and non essential text messages. Instead, I'm going to write letters and more importantly, phone people to speak verbally to people.
Which, by the way, may not sound so ground breakingly cool, but for me it's going to be a big big step and challenge. I'll reply to some emails, and still send group emails, and still probably use facebook for promoting re:Fresh events, but will endeavour to be phoning people a lot more regularly. So, beware!! hehe.
I'm just a little sick of online communication. It may not last. But, I do think there is something wrong with the obsession with social networking sites, facebook, emails, texts. I think they hijack so much of what true friendship is. It hijacks so much time. There's something a lot more vulnerable about making a phone call. You can't control the conversation, I guess.
Well, it's going to be hard, because I love writing and I'd send emails over phoning any day. But no more...I wandered whether or not this should stop me blogging..?..but in reality, if there is anyone who reads this, and you're interested in what's going on, the challenge is with you to phone me I guess. And yet, again, the challenge is on me to phone you if i read your blog.
hehe.
I won't stop blogging, as it has been, and will continue to be a good outlet for my thoughts and wonderings, a good shop window for the stuff i'm involved with and a good place for readers to get up to date info so you can pray and support us.
So if you are reading this, I give you most humble thanks. I'll enjoy the fact that I can at least type something somewhere.
