Had a good few days off. finished decorating and sowed vegetables and flowers in the garden. It was really satisfying. Finding it hard to believe that from those tiny dots we're gonna get some suculent vegies though - creation, and therefore God who made it all, is absolutely mind blowingly awesome!
Easter was an interesting time. For a few years now its been an interesting process of going through how old pagen stuff relates to the now consumerised "christian" festival. However, I've found that focussing on Jesus life, death and ressurection step by step was important and profound.
We met with a couple of friends and some of their friends to look at the scripture, watch a bit of the Jesus movie and pray and reflect together. Half the room were christians and the other half, so i'm told were hazy believers..! To remember such a pivital moment in history in that way was striking.
I was also confronted by the fact that the gospel message is simple. But presenting that to others can be really hard if we only have contact with Christians who know the jargon all the time. It was challenging to say the least.

Yesturday, we met to prepare more for the YOU CAN conference coming up this weekend. I'm sure this week will be absolutely swallowed by preparations but I'm looking forward to it. We made good progress and relaxed in the afternoon up crickley hill.
Warm sunshine, a tasty bbq, incredible views, and fun games of cricket. Splendid.
