Below is a little excerpt from our holiday, probably not the best memory as you will see. The past year has definitely had it’s moments in life where things have been snapped away that seemed within my grasp, and appeared to be in my control. And, it’s rarely an easy thing to do deal with.
And yet, our lives are in the grasp, the control and safety of our Lord’s hands. And that’s a comforting thought. Reading C.T. Studd has continued to be an exploration and a vibrant encouragement of living life to full for the Love of Jesus. The dude gave up his fame, family and fortune to follow after God, wherever it might lead, and whatever it might require.
Inspiring. and yet, very challenging.
Having returned from holiday, this week has been a kick start of activity. It's also been one of regular encouragements for all sorts of wonderful things opening up. Definately a new start on every level has begun and God seems to be breathing a huge lot of fresh air into many things.
My prayer is that in all of it, we will continue to get ‘more in line with his notions’ for it all. To be and to do and to live as he wants us to live. C.T Studd amazingly put it like this:
“We are praying and believing you. The Lord of the harvest abundantly bless you, and enable you to see and fall in line with His notions for a present day salvation sweep. Oh, that we may see eye to eye with the Lord in His plans for saving men! I often think what fools we shall reckon ourselves to have been when we get to heaven and see what we might have been and done with the aid of a little more salvation gumption!”
