network4youth

tuesday night saw us host 9 friends for dinner. wanting to give a reverent and delibrate feel about the evening, I wrote a welcome on one of our walls and we rearranged the room. we moved the table and chairs and lay a table cloth on the floor between the dining room and lounge.

lit by candle light we ate and prayed together, and talked at length about network4youth. it was an intense conversation which took us many places and eventually brought us to a real positive breakthrough in realising what it was all about. we all decided that sharing lives together in dynamic intentional communities, committed to God and each other, commissioned to be light and salt in the world was more important than trying to create a movement, or trying to be a team that organises events. in a sense we demolished the name, only to find we'd honoured it...for the first time - cos the network is exactly that - people living the way life was meant to be lived, and connected with others who do the same.

on reflection. it was a messy, but great night.

Today I travelled to some posh village in the middle of the Cotteswold's where myself and Chris chatted to a youth worker, part of I.C.Y. It was cool to see some truly awesome people once again and chat further this whole idea of living as intentional communities that are Christ-centred and Christ-abandoned.

Its an interesting journey and one that will have many expressions all over the place. But definately one worth going for. This ride is not one to be missed.
