Liturgy on the Lord's prayer...

Inspired by the moravians, who, amongst other things, prayed for 100 years non-stop, we're starting to see a build up of people comitting to pray for particular hours during each day and each week. 32 hours are covered at the minute and we're seeing a steady growth in people getting on board.

It's pretty immense. Yesterday it was my turn, and I ended up writing the beginnings of a liturgy based around the Lord's prayer, that I finished this morning. I may edit it in the future, but for now, here it is. Hope you enjoy it.

(if used in a communal setting, the group prays the bits in bold, and the person leading facilitates by saying the first lines)

Father in Heaven, Holy is your name,
We turn to you, to see you beauty

Your Kingdom Come, Your will be done,
We give you full control of our lives

On earth as in heaven,
We welcome your presence in our midst and in our communities

Give us today our daily bread,
We thank you, for you keep us safe

Forgive us our wrongs, as we forgive others who wrong us,
We thank you, for you have reconciled us to yourself and each other

Lead us not into temptation,
We pray, may we walk with you in your light

And deliver us from evil,
We declare Jesus is Lord over all the earth

For the Kingdom is yours,
We come home to you

The power is yours,
We trust and rely upon you

And the glory is yours,
We live for you
To please and praise you
Now and Forever,
Amen
