This week is our second prayer week in a row at Bishops. Last week was all about Good Friday, this week all about resurrection. We’re thinking about the empty tomb, about things in our lives that need to come to life, things in the world that need Jesus’ risen life to enter and transform.
It’s going well.
Last week ended well with the staff party going off with a bang – quite literally. Helen was serving out hot cross buns, one of them enjoyed being in the toaster a bit too long and the fire alarm went off! Hehe. Quite a few members of staff came over after that…
The support from staff has actually been fantastic. We had an email from a tutor this morning letting us know he’d told his tutor group to ‘get their butts down to the prayer room’!
It was great to welcome Bishop John to the prayer room this morning. We’ve got a few visitors coming in this week to see what we’re up to. There seems to be growing interest in these prayer spaces locally, which is very cool – many opportunities to take this elsewhere across the area…maybe even my old school!!
Exciting stuff.

Sounds good, awesome stuff Joe.
Heh I remember that fire alarm from
when they tested it last year,
just mere thought makes my ears ring...
Exciting to see where God is leading
you with this school stuff! Blessings!
