springtime...

I'm loving the triumphant effort of spring as it wrestles the last of winter out of the back door. I'm waving it's flag wholeheartedly. Loving the blue hazy skies, with just airplanes drawing lines on the wide open canvas, birds singing their new songs and flowers budding. the sun pours out a wash of light making everything shine and come to life, winning the fight of the day over the night. It makes me feel alive.

This last weekend marked three years of blogging, and I usually say a 'happy birthday' to it but didn't get round to it. looking back at the archives though, its an interesting the journey. it was two years ago that a few friends moved in with us for a week as we explored the six boiler room practises. Crazy how things of changed - and others have stayed the same.

As well as missing the blogs milestone, I missed writing about our 24hrs of prayer - which was ace. We set up the room as normal, but used the first half for prayer walking around the local area, then back in the room for the last half. It seemed to work well. It was great to have new and more people come along - one girl signed up thinking her slot was an entire 24 hours long!! Now that's commitment!

Last night we cooked for 8 people for a 'youth workers feast'. The idea is to bring together people involved in youth work to grow in friendships, and grow the heart for 're:fresh' again. It was a great evening. Each putting a question, quote or thought on a piece of paper and into a bowl, then throughout the evening we picked one out and had a conversation about it...some awesome stuff - great bible verses, questions like 'what does life in all its fullness mean (john 10:10)', even - 'is obama good for the U.S'...haha.

It was good fun. But too much to write here! ...

re:fresh on Saturday evening, plus I'm speaking at a church about 24-7 on Sunday, then another (another!) Bishops Prayer Week next week. Busy busy busy, so I best get back to it!
